Born in the Philippines and relocating to Houston, TX at the age of 9, Joshua has woven a rich tapestry of experiences that have shaped his life and career. Now, at 30 years young, he has made Louisville, KY his home, where he continues to follow his dreams and build a meaningful life.
From a young age, Joshua was deeply involved in athletics, excelling in sports such as wrestling, football, and track. This early engagement with physical discipline laid a foundation of commitment and resilience. However, it wasn’t until after his high school years, while spending Friday nights breakdancing with friends, that he discovered his true calling in dance. This spontaneous introduction evolved into a profound passion as he began training at esteemed studios like Soundbox and Soreal.
His dedication to dance opened doors to numerous opportunities, including performances at Electric Forest, choreographing for the KMAC Couture Fashion Show, participating in Keepers of the Dream, and taking part in numerous visuals. Each experience has contributed to his growth as an artist and performer, enriching his journey.
Joshua’s mission extends beyond personal achievement; he is deeply committed to sharing the transformative power of dance with others. Through his teaching at Crestview Studios, where he offers Beginner Hip Hop and Advanced Choreography classes, he inspires his students to embrace dance as a means of releasing life’s stresses and finding joy in movement. His story reflects not only his individual accomplishments but also his desire to uplift and connect with others through the art of dance.
